No Internet Access

In some instances Windows Update can "break" internet access. Follow the below procedures beginning with Step 1 to repair your internet connection.

Step 1: Manually Reset Network Settings

  1. In the search box on the taskbar, type Command prompt, press and hold (or right-click) Command prompt, and then select Run as administrator > Yes
  2. At the command prompt, run the following commands in the listed order, and then check to see if that fixes your connection problem:
  3. TEXT
    netsh winsock reset

    netsh int ip reset

    ipconfig /release

    ipconfig /renew

    ipconfig /flushdns

  4. Reboot your computer
  5. If Step 1 does not resolve your issue, proceed to Step 2.

    Step 2: Network Reset

  6. Select the Start button, then select Settings > Network & Internet > Status > Network reset
  7. On the Network reset screen, select Reset now > Yes to confirm
  8. Wait for your PC to restart, and see if that fixes the problem
If neither step resolves the issue, please submit a support request for further assistance.
