Accessing Websites in Internet Explorer
In rare instances, some websites may require connecting via Internet Explorer. While this is not recommended, if the website you are trying to access requires Internet Explorer (government websites, legacy websites, etc.), you can still access them using IE Mode in Microsoft Edge.
Using IE Mode in Microsoft Edge
- Open Microsoft Edge
- Click the three dots (...) menu in the top right corner
- Select Settings > Default browser
- Under "Internet Explorer compatibility", set "Allow sites to be reloaded in Internet Explorer mode" to Enabled
- Restart Edge
- Navigate to the website that requires IE
- Click the three dots (...) menu and select "Reload in Internet Explorer mode"
Internet Explorer has been officially retired by Microsoft. IE Mode in Edge is the supported replacement for accessing legacy websites. If you regularly need IE mode for specific sites, contact our team and we can configure it to load automatically.
